Coming Outta It

This powerful resurrection message takes us deep into John chapter 20, verses 11 through 18, where Mary Magdalene encounters the risen Christ. But the journey doesn't stop there—we're reminded that God has been showing us resurrection throughout all of Scripture. From Noah emerging from the flood to dry ground, Joseph rising from the pit to the palace, Israel crossing the Red Sea into the promised land, and Daniel walking out of the lion's den, resurrection has always been God's pattern for His people. The central truth here is profound: before there's a resurrection, there's always a process. Jesus didn't pray His way out of the trial—He prayed His way into it, surrendering to the Father's will three times in the garden. This challenges us to examine our own prayers: are we praying for comfort or for God's will, even when it leads through difficulty? The message powerfully illustrates that sometimes God won't take us around our trials but will strengthen us to go through them. What's striking is Jesus's silence during His kangaroo court trial—He didn't respond to every lie, every twisted word, every false witness. This teaches us that we don't need to defend ourselves against every accusation. The climax comes when Mary hears her name called—because when God is ready to bring you out of something, He calls your name personally. This isn't a generic deliverance; it's intimate and specific. We're challenged to consider: what are we coming out of today? What tomb has held us too long?
